Episode 6: Madame Noscova’s Moscow Mission

Madame Noscova’s Wedding Dance Mission

Madame Noscova’s Moscow Mission is the sixth episode in the micro-series, Dolls are Different…or are they? a pegdoll production.  The Doll community has wedding planning fever!  Family and friends, both old and new, are busy thinking up ways to contribute to Peg & Pog’s wedding day in the Rose Garden.  The suggestions and ideas come thick and fast from family and friends on what should happen on the wedding day.

Madame Noscova, that peculiar Russian ballet teacher is busy conducting dance lessons for the newly-formed break-dance ballet group, the Beat Belles.  Madame Noscova gets caught up in the excitement and insists that there must be dancing at Peg & Pog’s wedding.  Peg & Pog really do not know what to say to a peculiar Russian ballet teacher, not having previously met one!

Before Peg & Pog know it, Madame Noscova and the Beat Belles decide that they will dance at the wedding!

Wedding Dance Inspiration

Madame Noscova and Ballet ClassMadame Noscova declares that she must visit the home of the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow for wedding dance inspiration!   Anjeanette, Anjoane, Anlouise, Anmarie, Antenile, and DP,  Peg’s little 8-year old brother, form the Beat Belles, and they decide that they also need inspiration.   After all, they are the ones who will be dancing!

DP, ever the dedicated artist, stays home to improve on that famous break-dance move, the ‘Orbital Rotation’.  This is the move that Pog demonstrates to DP at Peg & Pog’s first meeting in the Rose Garden, and DP is keen to impress with a unique ‘busting’ move.

Madame Noscova and the rest of the Beat Belles take off on their Moscow Mission for inspiration!  Adventure, excitement and delightful scenery await the little travellers.  They cover long distances in the air, on the water, and over land to reach their destination.  They are fearless in the face of danger!  Finally, Madame Noscova and the Beat Belles find their inspiration at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow.  They dance with such grace and skill, fulfilling their mission to create wonderful dance steps to perform at Peg & Pog’s wedding.  Meanwhile, Peg & Pog look forward to their wedding day in the Rose Garden.

The Rose Garden is the special place where Peg & Pog’s love first bloomed.

Doll family members and friends have their own ideas however, and are determined to ‘help’ in making the wedding plans.  They swamp Peg & Pog with ideas and suggestions for wedding planning.

Before Peg & Pog know it, the Doll family members and friends take over the wedding planning (or so it seems)!  Peg & Pog need their own wedding helper!

At last, Peg & Pog find their ‘ray of sunshine’ in Glenda the Best Brisbane Celebrant.  Peg & Pog do not want to hurt the feelings of Doll family members and friends by refusing their offers of ‘help’.  Glenda, being the Best Brisbane Celebrant, listens patiently to their concerns.

Glenda helps Peg & Pog to find ways to resolve this troublesome situation.  She asks what Peg & Pog really want for their wedding ceremony, and guides Peg & Pog through ideas, options and practical strategies. Peg & Pog are happy that the wedding planning is at last on track!

The Rose Garden is abuzz with excitement!  It is Peg & Pog’s Wedding Day

Peg & Pog’s wedding day arrives!  All dolls (and bees) gather in the Rose Garden for a very special wedding ceremony.  Doll fashionistas strut their stuff, showing off their latest creations.  Doll kids run and play and chase bees, and Doll parents and family members and Doll friends chat and admire the roses.  Glenda, the Best Brisbane Celebrant, arrives and everything is ready!

New, fascinating Doll family members join the cast members of episodes 1-6 in episode 7.

Gasps of delight from the guests as the romantic wedding rings ritual begins!  The wedding rings are brought by the Bride and Groom and are touched by only them.  See the Bride’s ring in the photo, it is the one with the pink bow!  The Groom places his wedding ring in the Bride’s hand and gives his personal wedding vow, then it is the Bride’s turn.  Beautiful moment!

This ring ceremony is based on the Celtic tradition of ‘bringing’ and ‘placing’ of the wedding  rings and is quite different to the traditional exchanging rings.  This charming ring ceremony expresses the significance and symbolism of wedding rings shared by the Bride and Groom.  A very old, traditional ring ceremony lost in the mists of time, yet very modern!
