- The state of Queensland (as well as Western Australia and The Northern Territory) does not currently observe daylight saving time. The Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria, however, do observe daylight saving time for part of the year. In these states and territory, daylight saving time ends on the first Sunday in April.
- The daylight hours get shorter during Autumn. The later in Autumn, the shorter the daylight hours. This is important when planning a daytime outdoor wedding ceremony. Knowing when it is daylight in Brisbane is very useful!
- Your Notice of Intended Marriage must be in the hands of your Celebrant at least one month before the date of your wedding ceremony.
